Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you1 Corinthians 3 vs 16

Being the temple of God, means being His representation, His image, His living church, His glory, and His Holiness. Of course, you can not be a temple of God without the spirit of God living inside you.

Do you wish to be a temple of God, then become born again. Do you wish to remain a temple of God, then avoid these things.

Things to avoid as a Temple of God

  1. Avoid lying- The temple of God should reflect the truth.
  2. Avoid sexual perversion- Fornication, Adultery, Pornography, Homosexuality, Masturbation. The spirit of God inside you will not join you to sleep with a woman not your wife.
  3. Dress well- Your dressing should be modest, add to your beauty, and glorify God.
  4. Don’t Tattoo your bodies- You are the image of God, don’t deface your body with other images.
  5. Avoid evil- Take control of your heart, and cast out wicked thoughts as they come.
  6. Feed your Spirit- The spirit of God inside your needs to be feed from time to time, with the word of God, godly music, and godly movies.
  7. Avoid Anger- the Spirit of God is meek, watch your tongue, avoid anger, provocation, bless don’t curse etc
  8. Avoid evil company- Watch where you go. Before going anyway, ask yourself, would the spirit of God like to be with me in this place? Flee from ungodly places. Don’t go where Jesus will not go.
  9. Avoid fear- You are a temple of God, you cannot be destroyed by Satan. Avoid fear of sudden death, accident, assassination etc. The spirit of God inside you will keep you from all harm.
  10. Be a good Christian- You are a carrier of God’s spirit. There is God in you, let your character show forth His praises.
