Scriptures for healing

In life, whether you believe in God or not there are moments when we are faced with physical and emotional pain or are sick.

Refer to these scriptures read when you need healing.

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Mark 9:23

Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

Luke 8:50

He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.

Psalm 147

“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

James 5:14-15

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

James 5:16

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Matthew 10:8

A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Proverbs 17:22

Jeremiah 17:14 —

“O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed; if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone!”

Proverbs 4:20–22 —

“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.”

Isaiah 53:5 —

“He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed.”

Psalm 34:19 —

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

Psalm 147:2 —

“He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”

Exodus 15:26 —

“For I am the Lord who heals you.”

Jeremiah 30:17 —

“I will give you back your health and heal your wounds.”

James 5:16 —

Deuteronomy 7:15 —

“The Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 —

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

No matter what you are faced with, you can turn to God because He is willing and able to help you.
