Sleighful of Hope Christmas Fundraiser for Single Moms

Every year, we strive to bring joy and cheer to families during the Christmas season. This year, we’re focusing our efforts on a group that often goes overlooked: single moms. With the Sleighful of Hope Christmas Fundraiser, we aim to give single moms and their families a Christmas season full of gifts, experiences, and cheer!
Why Single Moms?
Single mothers face unique challenges, especially during the holiday season. From balancing work and childcare responsibilities to providing for their family’s needs on a single income, these strong women often have to juggle many roles. The holiday season, while meant to be a time of joy and celebration, can often magnify these challenges, turning what should be a festive time into a period of stress and worry.
That’s why we’re stepping in with our Sleighful of Hope Christmas Fundraiser. We want to alleviate some of the pressures single moms face during the holidays by providing them with a ‘sleigh’ full of gifts, experiences, and cheer for their families.
In my own life, I walked away from my abusive marriage in late November 2018. Despite the challenges, the Christmas season became a time of hope as my 3 children and I found temporary shelter at a friend’s home. Witnessing the kindness and support from many people, I made a heartfelt promise to myself: one day, I will pay it forward and assist single mothers and their children, just as others did for us.
