The Complete Entering into the Triune God and into New Jerusalem

The Father strengthens us through His Spirit, Christ makes His home in our hearts, we all together apprehend the unsearchableness of Christ, we know “knowledge-surpassing love of Christ, that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God.” This is the wonderful progression in Ephesians 3:16-19.

New JerusalemEventually, we know the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ, that we may be filled unto all the fullness of God (v. 19). When we are filled unto all the fullness of God, this is the complete entering into this wonderful, marvelous, all-inclusive Triune God. When we enter into the Triune God completely, we have entered into the entire constitution of the New Jerusalem. This is the triune entry.*

This part of Ephesians 3 shows us the development of our Christian life and our complete entering into New Jerusalem. The outcome of this development is “to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all the generations forever and ever” (v. 21). The glory in the church is now and the glory of New Jerusalem is forever.
