    God, thank you for giving us examples of discipline. Thank you for giving us the desire for a closer relationship with you. Help and strengthen us for the journey of building spiritual discipline. Protect us from what will come to distract us and take us out of your will. Finally, help us to help someone else through our journey. In your name Jesus, Amen.
