Move to London, UK

After more than 30 years in the Middle East (10 years for my husband), my husband and I decided to relocate permanently to London, UK.
There is so much to say about Dubai and not enough space and time to say it all! Suffice it to say that Dubai has been home to me for a long time. Even though I am originally from a tiny island in the Indian Ocean (Sri Lanka), my parents moved to the Middle East for work and a better life when I was only 4 years old. Dubai and the Middle East is home and a part of my heart will always be in Dubai. It is where I grew up with my family, was educated, made friends, had a long career in the aviation industry (which I eventually left after I had kids), got baptised and became a believer, got married and had all three of my kids! Dubai brings back a lot of memories that I have safely stored away in my heart and onto my Google photos 🙂
Last year in 2019, my husband and I decided to move to London, his hometown and native country. At this point, my kids had been through nursery and several years of school – all of which they had enjoyed very much. We said good-bye to family, friends, church community, school, workplaces and moved on to a different adventure in July 2019.
