The power of love.

Good day beautiful people

I hope that this message meets you well? Today I want to encourage you to allow God’s love to flow through you, even when frustrated allow the Holy Spirit to inspire the way you respond to challenging situations. Use your lips to encourage others, and your actions to bring about kindness. I will be the first to admit that sometimes I get impatient, and sometimes I get annoyed by my siblings actions just as they probably get annoyed by my behaviour, but what’s important is that we loves always! Do not allow uncontrollable/negative emotions cause you to destroy beautiful relationships!

So…I spent the past few months organising my parents surprise 30th wedding anniversary with my sisters, and at some points it was fairly stressful, but everything naturally fell into place thank God. A big lesson which I learnt was that during tough times we brought out the best in each other. Although we all have differing personalities we gained the opportunity to better understand each other, and learnt to communicate better when tension/conflict arose.

During Sunday service the Holy Spirit brought to my attention that believers shouldn’t give room to the enemy when it comes to God given relationships. The bible says that we need to WORK for peace. Therefore it shouldn’t surprise us that we need to put effort into our relationships in order to sustain healthy connections.

Matthew 5:9 ~ God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.

Romans 12:18 ~ Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

Why should we give room to the flesh and destroy a wonderful relationship over a petty issue? There is absolutely nothing new under the sun. Cain killed Abel out of jealousy, and the early church was almost divided over FOOD! Food…something perishable! It exits our body as a waste product yet causes SO many problems. [Sidenote: We saw how things got during the pandemic with panic buying, and people fighting over food and toilet roll].

Acts 6:1-7 ~ “But as the believers rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek-speaking believers complained about the Hebrew-speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said, “We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program. And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.” Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit), Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas of Antioch (an earlier convert to the Jewish faith). These seven were presented to the apostles, who prayed for them as they laid their hands on them. So God’s message continued to spread. The number of believers greatly increased in Jerusalem, and many of the Jewish priests were converted, too.”

In summary, what I desire to emphasise to us all is that we shouldn’t give up on relationships which are God sent. Yes there are some people who we’ll need to distance ourselves from in order to protect our heart and faith (Psalm 1:1-2), but we shouldn’t end a relationship due to being unwilling to forgive an offence. Individuals fight over furniture, places to sit, holiday destinations etc., but what we must remember is that the heavens and earth (food, clothes, money) will pass away, but faith, hope, and love will last forever! So pursue love always for love covers a multitude of sin.

1 Corinthians 13:13 ~ Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Matthew 24:35 ~ Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

A final tip.

Finally, I know that money can cause HUGE problems but I’ve learnt to let go of cash for the sake of peace. I know that I can always make money and gain more opportunities to save, but broken trust is not easily gained back. A major tip which I believe that we should be implementing into our daily lives is learning to SAVE. Save for a rainy day as you may be required to spend more than usual due to having guests over, or because of expenses needed for an unexpected emergency etc.

Anyways I pray that you all have a blessed week!

Love from
